About the Role
The Haskell Developer will be a key member of Bitnomial’s tight-knit engineering team, responsible for designing, building, and integrating high-performance APIs, libraries, and services. The role focuses on the full development lifecycle, from system design to deployment, while also ensuring the systems scale efficiently for real-time operations. This position offers a great opportunity to contribute to innovative financial technology solutions in the cryptocurrency market.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and integrate APIs, libraries, and services for scalable financial systems.
- Develop and deploy systems, working end-to-end from conception to production.
- Collaborate with engineers in a tight-knit team to share knowledge and improve technical skills through code reviews.
- Work on large-scale, real-time, and distributed applications that meet high performance and reliability standards.
- Utilize unit and functional testing, debugging, and code reviews to ensure system quality.
- Contribute to the development and optimization of trading systems, including futures and options matching systems, digital wallets, and more.
- Maintain and improve system infrastructure using deployment tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
Required Skills
- Experience with Haskell and functional programming.
- Strong background in large-scale, real-time, and distributed applications.
- Extensive experience working with SQL databases, especially Postgres.
- Proficient with Linux systems, particularly Ubuntu.
- Strong expertise in RESTful API design.
- Excellent skills in unit and functional testing and debugging.
- Experience with Git/GitHub, branching methodologies, and CI tools.
- Knowledge of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, with a strong interest in the crypto space.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with deployment tools like Terraform and Ansible.
- Experience with AWS and cloud platforms.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with futures and options matching systems, digital wallets, clearing and settlement systems, or trading and accounting systems.
- Experience with React and TypeScript.
