About the Role

The Haskell/Plutus Developer will play a key role in designing and developing smart contracts on Cardano’s Plutus platform. This individual will collaborate with Dr. Lars Brünjes to create scalable, efficient solutions tailored to an UTXO-based ledger. The role offers a high degree of ownership, autonomy, and responsibility within a fast-paced environment, contributing directly to the development of DeFi protocols.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the team to design and implement smart contracts on Cardano’s Plutus platform.
Research and develop scalable eUTXO models to support high-performing applications.
Design decentralized applications (Dapp) and DeFi protocols specifically for UTXO-based ledgers.
Work in an agile, fast-paced environment, iterating and refining features rapidly.
Take ownership of tasks and projects, ensuring high-quality results and timely delivery.
Establish engineering best practices and methodologies within the team.
Write clean, well-documented, and reusable code, ensuring optimal performance and testing.

Required Skills

University degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience in a tech/crypto startup environment.
Strong proficiency in Haskell and deep understanding of functional programming principles.
In-depth understanding of Cardano’s eUTXO model.
Exposure to Plutus Core and the Cardano PAB (Plutus Application Backend).
Proven experience leading projects from inception to completion.
Passion for decentralized finance (DeFi) and familiarity with the Cardano ecosystem.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and modern development tools.
Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Fluent in English.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with web3 technologies or within the crypto ecosystem.
Familiarity with decentralized applications (Dapps) and smart contract development.
Knowledge of blockchain security practices and optimization strategies.
